Deleting an Instagram account

For security reasons, we can't delete your account for you. If you're using the Instagram app for Android, you'll need to go to instagram.com in a mobile or web browser to delete your account. You can select the appropriate instructions from the menu at the top of this page.

Brief instructions on how to delete an account in the official Instagram app.
1. Go to your profile.
2. Click on the menu in the upper right corner of the screen
3. Tap Account Center, then tap Personal Information.
4. Click Manage account, then click Deactivate or delete.
5. Select the desired account.
6. Click Delete account, and then click Continue.

Instagram will permanently delete your account and all information associated with it 30 days after you submit your request. You will not be able to recover this information. Instagram users will not see this content.
